This post is meant to be for entertainment but it should make you think a little. The reason whole foods are so great for us is because they contain their maximum nutrition and haven't been stripped of any of their valuable benefits. Research has helped to show us which foods help us in what ways, but if you look closely, these foods were already giving us hints to their nutritional benefits:
Have you ever looked at a slice of carrot? It looks just like an eye with the retina in the middle surrounded by a slightly lighter color. It's interesting because we know that the high dose of vitamin A that carrots provide can help maintain our eye health.
A tomato slice looks like it is divided into 4 chambers. Just like the four chambers of the heart. Research has shown us that the lycopene found in tomatos may boost the body's natural antioxidant defenses and reduce the risk of heart disease.
If you crack a walnut open, it looks just like a little brain. Omega 3 has been shown to help improve brain health in adults and brain development in children. Walnuts can provide a good amount of this.
Both of these vegetables contains a good source of folate which is beneficial for female reproduction. Ever noticed how both these vegetables looks very similar to a womb.
Figs grow in sets of two and are known to help with male fertility...I'm sure you can figure out what they look like :)
