There is no perfect way to eat any food in my opinion but there are certainly better ways. Some foods we eat a certain way simply because it was how we were taught and we never bothered to question it. Today, let's open our minds to the possibility of better ways to eat certain foods. Here are three in particular that might surprise you:
Pomegranates are delicious and often quite messy. This is probably why many of us avoid eating them because it just seems like too much work for the effort. Not to mention if the seeds burst open on you it leaves quite the stain. The video below is from a very sweet lady that takes all the stress out of eating this very healthy fruit. No more $7 pre-plucked pomegranate seeds for you!
While we may be more evolved than our little furry monkey friends, there is one topic they dominate at and that is how to eat bananas. Most of us on instinct when opening a banana will grab the stem end of the banana and pull on this to peel it open. This can result in a smooshed banana (and sometimes little stringy bits). The secret? Try taking the opposite end and giving it a little pinch. This should break the seal and allow you to peel the banana without issue. You can even use the stem as a handle for eating! See monkey below for visual instruction (though the woman in the video seems to feel the monkey has it wrong).
Mmmmm....cupcake. My only complaint with a cupcake is that I often eat off the delicious toppings first leaving me with cake that isn't nearly as fun. Then I found the following diagram which solved that problem. Cupcake conversion to delicious cupcake sandwich!
