Well Jamie has struggled to get anywhere against big food, but recently had his first major success. Thanks to Jamie, McDonalds is reporting that it will stop using "Pink Slime" in their burger recipe. Pink slime is made using Ammonia Hydroxide to break down beef cutoffs (the leftover bits after removing all the good cuts) into what they call 'finely texturized beef protein' (slime). Luckily, this is not a substance that gets used in Canada but it is a big step for Jamie in trying to improve the quality of fast foods.
