If you enjoy learning about cooking and where your food comes from, I would highly suggest taking one of the cooking classes at the Waring House. By far the best part of our trip. The chef took us through a four course meal with matching wine pairings, using all locally sourced ingredients. We learned how to make an amazing carrot soup. french style gnocchi and a French Canadian style cake called Pouding Chomeur with maple syrup in it!
I could have bought all my groceries for the week up there before heading back. If it hadn't been such a small town I would have, but many of the shops are closed on Sundays so be sure to get in your shopping on the Saturday if you are planning to be there for just the weekend. According to the locals, things stay open a bit longer in the summer once produce starts to come in. I'm hoping to make another trip back there soon!
