My blueberry sauce might be just what you are looking for.
This is a very simple sauce that is lovely served over top of duck, chicken or pork. It only takes moments to put together and it freezes well for use later.
Savory Blueberry Sauce
1 tbsp butter
1 pint fresh blueberries
1 sprig rosemary, chopped
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1) Melt the butter in a saucepan on medium heat. Add in the blueberries and stir constantly until they break down. If blueberries begin to burn, reduce heat.
2) Once broken down add in rosemary and vinegar. Reduce heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
3) Serve over duck, pork or chicken.
