If you don't have peat moss cups, you can use toilet paper rolls instead. All you need is some good potting soil, seeds, a drain tray to put under the peat cups or toilet paper rolls (I'm using a plastic storage lid) and a marker to label the rolls or cups so you don't forget what is in there.
If your toilet paper rolls tips over, just tie them together with twine. How deep to plant the seeds will be on the packet, then just water till they sprout. Easy! For a little extra inspiration, check out the video of Ron Finley below. He is trying to change the urban landscapes of LA and he's very inspirational. I would love to see more cities do this idea. Be warned if you are at work, he does swear.
