It's also interesting to look at the nutrition difference. What is most shocking to me is the protein difference between these meals. Even the meal made with out chicken at the bottom has more protein than the fast food option.
You may have noticed that the chicken dinner at home has more calories per person than the fat food meal. Yes it is true but it isn't that significant, and there are far less refined carbohydrates in the home meal than the eating out meal (refined carbs= sugar).
The thing not shown in this chart is the nutrient contents (like calcium, iron, etc.). I'm sure it's not hard to beleive the McDonald's option wouldn't hold a candle to the other two.
