But when you find a way to make it more entertaining, you can get hooked on being active. Take myself for example. I don't really enjoy running, but I'm a competitive runner. How did I manage to make it interesting enough that I want to keep doing it? By doing crazy races with weird concepts behind them. For example, this past weekend I did a race called RUN FOR YOUR LIVES.
It's a 5km obstacle course race with zombies on it. Not only did I have to run, but I had to wear a belt with three flags on it that represented my lives. As I ran the course, people dressed as zombies would chase me trying to take my flags. The object was to make it to the end with at least one flag.
Sadly I got zombified, but I wasn't focused on the exercise, I was focused on the silly game of avoiding zombie Sailor Moon as she shuffled towards me.
I prefer the funny races where I dress up as Santa or have to find hidden objects located on a map. Silly I know, but it's what keeps me going.
Zombies may not be the answer for you but go out there and figure out what keeps you interested and makes being active enjoyable for you!
